Thanksgiving in Romania!

Buna!
On Sunday, October 30th, we had a Harvest Celebration at the Baptist church in the village of Garcina, where we do village work! The celebration included poems & songs by the kids, a message of thankfulness from Psalms by our Youth Pastor, Teo, and an Agape meal afterwards, and of course little Emily came along for the fun, too. The week before, we went from house to house of the kids who come to our kids club and invited the parents. Two showed up, and we were thrilled!  These are two mothers who haven’t come to our churchwide events before, and we are happy if this means God is working on their hearts and they are listening. We have done events like this in the past for Christmas, Mother’s Day, and Easter and continue to pray it is a way of connecting families in the village and getting God’s message out for others to hear.

We are Lucian and Becca Avadanei, a young couple bent on orphan ministry. We met while both of us were involved in ministry to Romanian children, and decided to team up in our efforts to help orphans and abandoned children discover who they are. Now, we are serving together in Children and Youth Outreach in Romania under the organization My Brother’s Keeper Ministries. Follow us on our blog and learn how you can pray for the children.
