Village program Diploma Ceremony!

So, we have finished the Samaritan’s Purse “The Greatest Journey” 12-lesson study in our kids program in Garcina. On March 11, we held a ceremony for all the kids who had taken part, and we had prizes for those who earned them, and diplomas for all of the kids.  There were prizes for kids who learned the most verses and for kids who did the most work in their books.  There were also gifts given at the end to all the mothers in attendance in honor of Mother’s Day, March 8.  We are especially proud of Maria, Ana, Ioana, and Tudor who finished with the most awards!

We pray the verses and lessons on Christianity stay with these kids, and offer them guidance through friendship, job searching, hunger or other problems they are facing.  Now we are starting a book from AMEC – Asociatia Misionara Pentru Educarea Copiilor (a local Romanian Evangelical Children’s ministry) called “Cartea Intrebarilor cu Meditatii” (The Question book with Meditations) Thank you for praying! 😊

We are Lucian and Becca Avadanei, a young couple bent on orphan ministry. We met while both of us were involved in ministry to Romanian children, and decided to team up in our efforts to help orphans and abandoned children discover who they are. Now, we are serving together in Children and Youth Outreach in Romania under the organization My Brother’s Keeper Ministries. Follow us on our blog and learn how you can pray for the children.
