New Additions

We have some new additions this fall to our ministry. 🍂 We’ve added a pre-adolescent group at our church, Biserica Baptista Sfanta Treime, a children’s program at the State Orphanage Ion Creanga, and we’ve added a little boy to our family. 👶

The pre-adolescent group is grade 6,7,8 that meets weekly on Saturdays at our church for two hours before youth group. They’re having a study much like the youth group, only for their age.  And we are finding more of this age are coming than we thought, that otherwise don’t come to the church. The meetings are with Gary Stoll, Luci, and Teo Tifrea and have been meeting for a month now. It’s going well.

We’re very glad to start with the Ion Creanga orphanage again, we had problems with conflicting schedules last year and had to stop meeting with them for awhile, but started again two weeks ago. It’s going good. We do an Awana type program- two hours games, singing, lesson, craft and now are preparing songs for a Christmas program! There are 12-15 kids who come. We know these kids for four years and are glad we get to work with them again, also they came to our VBS over the summer and loved it! Pray for kids, workers, us to have a good attitude and fun time together because that helps them to learn.

We also want to announce about our baby boy Ruben! Ruben Roy Avadanei was born on September 18, 2018 here in Piatra Neamt at 3480g, 50cm long. Big sister is happy to have a playmate (doll?:)) and learning what to do to help. Mommy & daddy are thrilled and getting used to the routine. Also Emily goes more with Daddy to programs now. She is almost 2 1/2.

Thank you for praying for our family and as always if there are things we can be praying for let us know. Also if you have praises, share them so we can praise God with you. Blessings!

We are Lucian and Becca Avadanei, a young couple bent on orphan ministry. We met while both of us were involved in ministry to Romanian children, and decided to team up in our efforts to help orphans and abandoned children discover who they are. Now, we are serving together in Children and Youth Outreach in Romania under the organization My Brother’s Keeper Ministries. Follow us on our blog and learn how you can pray for the children.
