The last few months have brought us into summer full swing, with more warmth, and lots of rain. :))
In the last months, we have been meeting regularly with our children’s groups in orphanage and village, & youth group in the city. In the weekly children’s ministry in village of Garcina we are almost finished with 12 lesson Youth Alpha course. They’ve liked it. We also had a special celebration there Sunday May 12 for the village church’s 10 year anniversary. We had a choir from south of Romania come to visit, with Eduard Teodorescu as director. They toured in the States with MBK a few years ago. There were a number of children from our program & their parents who came to the celebration service & meal afterwards! And the group was very warmly welcomed by our church in the city for the evening service.

In the weekly orphanage children’s program at Ion Creanga Orphanage in Piatra Neamt, we have seen increase in numbers, from 15-17 in Feb-March to 18-30 children coming now. We have been doing flannelgraph stories on the Miracles of Jesus. They’re really interested! They’ve not seen something like that before. In general they’ve been good at listening since the fall, now getting better at responding to questions we ask after story. Some have memorized verses and still know them. We took a group of our regulars (15) out to McDonald’s in April to reward their attendance.
Thank you for the prayers for the area we are working with. We hope the time spent with these children & youth will have a great impact on their future relationships with God & others. 🙏
