Will post pictures after the week. We are thrilled we can take youth from our city, villages nearby, and in the next county again to hear relevant things about the Bible in camp. Pray for the youth we take from 26-31 August as we learn “180°, A Radical Change” about the testimony and ministry of Paul. We hope it inspires some new ones to Christian service. We thank you! 🙏
The theme for this year’s youth camp is called “180° a Radical Change: Paul’s conversion and missionary experience” with the week’s verse focusing on 2 Corinthians 5: 17 ” If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come.”
We are going August 26-31 to the mountains of Voronet, Romania with 65 youth from our church, orphanages, and the surrounding area where work is being done. Pray for ears to hear the call!! 👂🙏
The last few months have brought us into summer full swing, with more warmth, and lots of rain. :))
In the last months, we have been meeting regularly with our children’s groups in orphanage and village, & youth group in the city. In the weekly children’s ministry in village of Garcina we are almost finished with 12 lesson Youth Alpha course. They’ve liked it. We also had a special celebration there Sunday May 12 for the village church’s 10 year anniversary. We had a choir from south of Romania come to visit, with Eduard Teodorescu as director. They toured in the States with MBK a few years ago. There were a number of children from our program & their parents who came to the celebration service & meal afterwards! And the group was very warmly welcomed by our church in the city for the evening service.
Church’s anniversary celebration in village of Garcina 5/12/19.
In the weekly orphanage children’s program at Ion Creanga Orphanage in Piatra Neamt, we have seen increase in numbers, from 15-17 in Feb-March to 18-30 children coming now. We have been doing flannelgraph stories on the Miracles of Jesus. They’re really interested! They’ve not seen something like that before. In general they’ve been good at listening since the fall, now getting better at responding to questions we ask after story. Some have memorized verses and still know them. We took a group of our regulars (15) out to McDonald’s in April to reward their attendance.
Thank you for the prayers for the area we are working with. We hope the time spent with these children & youth will have a great impact on their future relationships with God & others. 🙏
A family trip to Red Lake, 1 hour West of our city.
We had the privilege of sharing the message “You are Special” by Max Lucado with 60 kids for Children’s Day June 1 this year.
Children present were from the Ion Creanga Orphanage, Elena Doamna Orphanage, village of Garcina, and our city.
We had games, songs, skit “Your Are Special” with leaders, pizza, cake, and a fun talent show!
We are thankful we could have this type of activity with the kids we work with , at our church Biserica Crestina Baptista in Piatra Neamt. Thankful also for the volunteers of youth from our church. 🙏
Sunday May 12 was a celebration for 10 years since the inauguration of the village church in Garcina. We were happy to have Eduard Teodorescu’s choir from Ploiesti visit for the occasion and praise the Lord together with the church! ⛪️🙏😇
There were a number of children from our children’s program who came & their parents. We ask God to bless them. 🙏
Garcina village celebration
Tomorrow is Easter here in Romania. ✝️
We are very thankful for the blessings we have these days. Our family, good friends, a healthy church, planning to build our home, and the amazing friend we have in Jesus. What we do is a reflection of his life while he was here on earth, sharing his message, caring for the least of these, and upholding His father’s character. Thank you Jesus for your example, your love, your miracles& wonders, and finally your sacrifice!
In the last weeks, we have been meeting with the Garcina village kids & Ion Creanga Orphanage kids clubs weekly. At the village we watched the Jesus film and talked about what the resurrection means, and in the Orphanage we took them to McDs for those who earned it with their attendance & also had two lessons with the flannelgraph on the crucifixion & resurrection. We also had a special day with the girls of Casa Ray Orphanage for Easter vacation. Thank you for your prayers! 🙏☀️✝️
